FINDING THE INNER ARTIST

UNLEASH your inner artistic skills at the Nyngan Ag Expo in art workshops designed for people of any age.

Four of Nyngan's most reputable and creative artists, Lynne Quinton, Lyn Hodge, Anna Smith, and Clare McConochie help participants reveal their inner-artistic self in workshops from 10am to midday and 2pm to 4pm.

"We would like to see everybody join in regardless of how polished or unpolished they believe their skills to be," Ms McConochie said.

"During the workshops participants will have the opportunity to use various mediums such as wire, ceramics, toxic-free paints, glue, brushes and many more materials, all of which will be provided for people to create their masterpiece."

"One of our aims on the day will be to create a mural that depicts aspects of the 2007 Country Energy Nyngan Ag Expo."

"Nyngan is very lucky to be home to our four art instructors who are well known for the originality of their work and their competency as teachers."

Ms Quinton is a traditional and contemporary artist who is intensely creative and a natural teacher.

Her work has been exhibited locally, with major prize wins, and continues to be sold widely.

Ms Hodge is a master in her craft, with works exhibited across the region.

She is also a proficient teacher and possesses an Associate Diploma of Art.

Ms Smith is famous for her pottery and has been extremely successful with exhibits Australia-wide.

She has taken the new "Trash to Art" concept to amazing heights, and her passion and enthusiasm are sure to inspire everybody.

Ms McConochie has a Diploma in Drawing and has also exhibited and sold her works across the region.
