The 2007 ‘Country Energy’ Nyngan Ag Expo will take place on
Saturday 4th August at the Nyngan Showgrounds and should prove to be
the biggest Expo yet!
Mayor Ray Donald of the Bogan Shire Council met with Don Lister,
Site Planner and Chairman Jamie Fisher to discuss the plans for sites,
exhibitors and the many events planned for this years Expo.
Jamie Fisher said “This year, the 2007 ‘Country Energy’ Nyngan Ag
Expo will mark its 16th year.
The event continues to be a highlight on the Central Western New South
Wales calendar drawing an incredible number of people into Nyngan from a
diverse range of sectors within our vast regional community including;
agriculture, business and government, in addition to audiences seeking
lifestyle, hobby, house and home, and gift items.”
Don Lister advised “This year there will be more opportunities for
new and established businesses from a variety of industries to promote their
products and services.”
Jamie Fisher said “The Expo Committee has been working tirelessly
to build on established topics for the event including conservation farming, livestock,
fashion, art and lifestyle demonstrations.
During this difficult and challenging time across the agricultural
sector our focus remains to inform, educate and promote, and this year our seminars will focus on men’s health, small farm
feed lotting and drought, highlighting
maintenance rations/feeding.”
“The introduction of Food & Wine will also be a major drawcard
for gourmet food and wine producers in the region and we look forward to
enjoying many delicious and more-ish local products on the day.”
