2007 ‘Country Energy’
Nyngan Ag Expo
Nyngan Ag Expo does
it with seminars again!
Media Release, Wednesday 30th May
2007
Country
Energy Nyngan Ag Expo 2007 has again put together an informative and
fascinating two seminars for Ag Expo 2007 on Saturday 4 August this year. The
organising committee has secured the volunteer services of a number of
Specialist Physicians to provide the latest up to date information on Men’s
Health. Presenting from Sydney will be Professor Chris Tennant, a Psychiatrist,
who will deliver a paper prepared for by people having the latest dealings with
depression.
Jamie
Fisher, Chairman of the seminars sub-committee, said “Ag Expo has also been
able to secure the services of Dr Peter Stricker, a prominent and experienced
speaker on Prostate and Urological problems in men with a sympathetic and
understanding manner of delivery.”
“Dr
David Hammill, the well known and very experienced General Physician located in
Dubbo, is particularly knowledgeable on the farmer and his heart. As well as
speaking on heart and general chest matters, he will address the serious issue
of diabetes.”
“Finally,
but by no means least, to follow up, will be Nyngan’s very busy Dentist, Dr
Ryan Heggie who will address the issues of oral health and it’s impact on the
general health of patients.”
This
Men’s Health Seminar, not to be missed by farmers and their wives, will contain
extremely useful information delivered with understanding of the audience’s
level of medical knowledge. Not to be missed.
The
Men’s Health Seminar will be followed up by a short seminar on a matter
complementary to the issues which have been affecting all farmers in the
Central West, now, for five years; that of feed lotting, the determination of
rations suitable for feed lotting, and a discussion of issues relating to
animal health in a confined environment. Mr Fisher said “There has been a
significant number of enquiries for this feed lotting seminar topic to address
the circumstances where farmers were seeking to value-add their grain when
market prices do not reflect the true economic value of the grain or when the
grain was of a type that the market did not respect.”
Mr
Fisher went on to say that “Attendees wishing to take in all the facts, should
be at the Ag Expo grounds at 9am sharp on the Saturday morning 4 August 2007
ready to go, because there will be no holding back the seminar for late
arrivals!”
