Safety,
green energy and a focus on energy savings at Country Energy Nyngan Ag Expo
Country Energy is
challenging visitors to this year’s Nyngan Ag Expo to visit our site in section
D and experience first-hand how much energy it takes to power the appliances we
can’t live without.
For the first time the major
sponsors will host the Country Energy energy bikes which through the use of
sheer pedal power demonstrate just how much energy is required to use
appliances like hair dryers, toasters or televisions.
“The interactive energy
bikes are a great way to show people of all ages how making enough energy to
power the things that we use every day is no easy feat,” explained regional
general manager, north western, Pete Halliwell.
“After you’ve had a go on
them the experience also helps you to consider ways in which we might be able
to use energy more wisely and efficiently,” he said.
“Safety is a key focus for
Country Energy and for the first time at the expo our local field workers will
be demonstrating pole-top rescues on an electricity pole constructed especially
for the expo,” said Pete.
“One of the main highlights
of the Country Energy marquee will once again be the cooking displays featuring
easy to make recipes and efficient cooking tips,” said Pete.
At the Country Energy site
visitors will also get the opportunity to learn more about our range of
CountryGreen products, and receive tips and advice on ways to make energy
savings around their business or home.
Other attractions for
visitors to look out for at the Country Energy site will be; public safety
advice for around the farm and home presentations; information on Country
Energy’s capital investment in the region; information on Country Energy
products and services such as CEinternet and Country Green energy; tips on how
to save on your electricity bill and plenty of giveaways!
