Food & Wine Extravaganza and

A Collectables & Swap Meet

A “Food & Wine Extravaganza” will be the latest addition for the Nyngan Ag Expo to be held 4^th August 2007. This extravaganza has been introduced to promote food and wine from within the local rural area and extends to other communities in New South Wales. It is envisaged that it will also include a multicultural theme, where visitors to the expo can experience a wide variety of flavours from different nations

The newly elected Chairperson, Jamie Fisher said “This is an exciting new extension for the Ag Expo, we have been in contact with the local producers and they have shown great interest in promoting their products. We will be sending out an invitation for others within the area to participate.

Mr Fisher said “We have a very forward thinking committee of volunteers who will be working towards this being the best ever Ag Expo to be held in the area”

Numbers have increased dramatically each year, with 160 exhibitors in 2006 ranging from crafts, clothing and education to government services, livestock and heavy machinery.

The Food and Wine Extravaganza will be held on the village green and will include tables and chairs with umbrellas and possibly entertainment. It is envisaged that patrons can purchase meals from various cultures whilst enjoying a glass of wine and the ambience of a specially created atmosphere.

Mr Gary Steele, will value collectables and antiques, by appointment, and visitors to the Expo will have the opportunity to purchase collectables from dealers and traders from the surrounding area.
